Job Overview

A law firm seeks an intellectual property litigation associate attorney to join its office in Saint Louis, MO. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced litigators on a diverse range of cases involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, unfair competition, and trade secrets.

Duties

  • Manage ESI collection and production.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Analyze patents and prior art.
  • Draft claim charts and substantive motions.
  • Collaborate on expert reports.
  • Prepare for and assist in hearings and trials.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in intellectual property litigation or complex federal court litigation.
  • Excellent research, writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task efficiently.
  • Licensed to practice law in Missouri or eligible to become licensed.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree.
  • An undergraduate degree in science or engineering would be a plus.

Certifications

  • Patent Bar eligibility preferred.

Skills

  • Independent thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with post-grant review proceedings is a plus.
