Job Title: Attorney

Job Overview:

A well-established law firm based in Everett, WA, is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney with a strong foundation in litigation and a client-focused approach. Duties:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, parenting plans, and support modifications

  • Independently manage files from client intake through resolution, including trial preparation and appearances

  • Provide strategic, empathetic legal guidance to clients during emotionally sensitive situations

  • Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements

  • Represent clients in mediation sessions and negotiation conferences

  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to enhance legal strategy and case outcomes

  • Participate in networking and professional development efforts to grow the client base

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Washington

  • Minimum 3 years of litigation experience, specifically in family law

  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and case management capabilities

  • Ability to handle multiple active matters with a high level of accuracy and professionalism

  • Calm and composed demeanor under pressure, especially in adversarial or emotional client situations

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Washington State Bar Association in good standing

Skills:

  • Expertise in family law litigation

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational habits

  • Drafting and analysis of complex legal documents
