Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney to join its Lansing, Michigan office. The ideal candidate will have experience in transactional, regulatory, and government affairs matters, and will contribute to the firm's strategic growth in the mid-Michigan market by serving clients with complex compliance and business needs.

Duties

  • Advise clients on business and regulatory matters, including corporate governance and commercial transactions.
  • Provide guidance on compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in various industries.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in transactional and/or regulatory practice areas.
  • Experience in political, legislative, or multi-client advocacy.
  • Strong research, drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Michigan regulatory and administrative agencies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication abilities to explain complex regulatory concepts.
  • Interest in contributing to the firm's strategic expansion in Lansing.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed or willing to become licensed and in good standing to practice law in Michigan.
