Job Overview: A reputable law firm is seeking a Family Law Attorney for a hybrid position based in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and a passion for helping clients navigate complex legal matters. This position offers a unique balance of in-office/court and remote work, ensuring flexibility while actively engaging in all facets of case management. The firm promotes a collaborative environment where attorneys are empowered to provide high-quality legal representation while maintaining a strong work-life balance.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law court hearings and provide expert legal counsel in family law matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as settlement agreements, contracts, and briefs.
  • Advise clients on conflict resolution strategies and negotiate settlements effectively.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure timely communication with clients, paralegals, and team members.
  • Track and bill hours accurately by firm guidelines.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss case strategies and firm updates.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience specifically in handling family law cases in Texas.
  • Must hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and have passed the Bar exam.
  • Active membership in the Texas Bar and the American Bar Association (ABA).
  • A valid Texas Driver’s License and automobile insurance are required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple cases efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on client care and team collaboration.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Texas State Bar membership.

Skills:

  • Family Law experience (preferably in Texas).
  • Legal drafting and documentation.
  • Case management and organizational skills.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Billing and timekeeping proficiency.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel).
