Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join their team in Farmington, New Mexico. Duties

  • Manage 100-200 criminal cases from inception to completion.
  • Appear in court frequently for trials, pre-trial dockets, and hearings.
  • Conduct legal discovery and witness interviews.
  • Write and review motions.
  • Report to and support one of the Partners.

Requirements

  • JD degree and active bar license in a UBE jurisdiction.
  • Ability to become licensed in New Mexico.
  • Strong courtroom presence and ability to manage a high caseload.
  • Ability to balance autonomy with adherence to firm systems and processes.
  • Commitment to client relationship management and collaborative teamwork.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Active bar license in a UBE jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Strong courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Effective client-centered representation.
  • Proficiency in managing large caseloads.
