Job Overview:
A law firm located in Tampa, FL, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join its legal team. This in-office position is ideal for a legal professional with a strong background in managing personal injury matters through trial and mediation. The role demands proficiency in civil litigation processes, including drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, and handling courtroom procedures.

Duties:

• Handle a broad caseload of personal injury claims from initial filing through resolution

• Draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and related legal documentation

• Conduct legal research and apply findings to develop case strategies

• Represent clients in mediations, court proceedings, and jury trials

• Participate in depositions of clients, witnesses, and expert professionals

• Engage in settlement discussions and manage negotiations effectively

• Keep up-to-date with developments in case law and litigation practices

• Collaborate closely with internal legal staff to ensure alignment on case strategies

• Record and manage billable hours with a monthly minimum target

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation

• Active license to practice law in Florida, in good standing

• Trial experience with at least three completed cases

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar

Skills:

• Familiarity with insurance defense litigation and procedures

• Excellent legal drafting and oral advocacy capabilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms such as Westlaw or Lexis

• Strong organizational, analytical, and case management abilities

• High attention to accuracy and detail

• Team collaboration mindset

• Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Job Location:

• Tampa, FL

• Full-time, in-office role (Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend availability)
