Junior or Mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A highly regarded international law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level Associate Attorney to join its Litigation and Dispute Resolution team in Oakland office. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with 2–5 years of complex litigation experience who are looking to work on sophisticated commercial and insurance-related disputes. Location:

Duties:

• Handle all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal

• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare comprehensive memoranda

• Draft case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents

• Manage discovery processes, including document production, written discovery, and depositions

• Collaborate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel

• Contribute to trial strategy and preparation as needed

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience in complex litigation (required)

• Prior exposure to commercial and/or insurance litigation (preferred)

• Experience working directly with clients and adversaries

• Familiarity with litigation technology tools, e-discovery, and case management software

• Previous law firm experience strongly preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of California (required)

• Must be in good standing with the California Bar
