Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join their creditors' rights practice in Metairie, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and contribute to a collaborative legal team.

Duties

  • Represent clients in foreclosure, bankruptcy, replevin, and related court proceedings.
  • Draft and review motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Attend court hearings in person and virtually.
  • Provide legal oversight and collaborate with support staff.
  • Deliver responsive, client-focused legal services in a high-volume practice.

Requirements

  • Licensed in Louisiana (required).
  • 5+ years of experience preferred, but all qualified applicants will be considered.
  • Strong legal writing, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and driven.
  • Multi-state licensure (OK/FL a plus).
  • Bankruptcy or collections experience.
  • Federal licensure.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Louisiana.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based legal platforms.
