Job Overview:
A respected law firm located in Rochester Hills, MI, is actively seeking a licensed attorney to join its real estate and foreclosure practice. This position offers a dynamic role in handling foreclosure, title, and loss mitigation matters. Ideal candidates will bring at least two years of relevant legal experience, strong document review capabilities, and a proactive approach to client interaction. This role blends traditional legal responsibilities with administrative oversight and cross-department collaboration.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal review of foreclosure and real estate-related documents

  • Respond to inquiries, clarify legal issues, and resolve routine client matters

  • Manage communications with clients via phone and email

  • Address escalated matters and support team caseloads as needed

  • Execute administrative tasks such as mailing, scanning, and document management

  • Review and approve documents for submission to the Register of Deeds

  • Provide support for general legal and operational needs within the department

Requirements:

  • Active license and good standing with the State Bar of Michigan

  • 2-4 years of legal practice in foreclosure, title, or loss mitigation

  • Proven experience in handling client communications and case escalations

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Michigan

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)

  • Experience with legal research tools, especially LexisNexis Advance

  • Familiarity with legal case management systems (experience with Case Aware is a plus)

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Capable of managing multiple assignments and shifting priorities efficiently
