Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Attorney to join its legal team in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves managing case workflows, engaging in client communications, and ensuring accurate legal billing. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess strong legal research and writing skills, and be proficient in legal case management systems.

Duties:

• Oversee and manage a portfolio of legal cases using case management software.

• Communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings.

• Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and correspondence.

• Track and record billable hours in compliance with firm policies.

• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and client representation.

• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure effective case handling.

• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions as needed.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and legal precedents.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on litigation.

• Ability to manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience working with legal billing systems and procedures.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and case law analysis.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Familiarity with case management software, particularly Clio, is preferred.

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain professionalism.
