Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney in Plainville, MA, with a strong background in the residential foreclosure process. The successful candidate will join a dynamic legal team focused on delivering efficient and client-focused representation in creditors' rights and foreclosure matters.

Duties

  • Possess strong knowledge of residential foreclosure process and general real estate law.
  • Review and analyze pre- and post-judgment title issues.
  • Conduct legal research and draft substantive pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
  • Appear at court hearings, mediations, and depositions on behalf of clients.
  • Analyze cases and assist clients with discovery requests.
  • Communicate effectively with clients on foreclosure-related issues.
  • Develop and implement focused litigation plans.
  • Maintain case management status reports and meet with paralegals.
  • Manage a large volume of workload efficiently.
  • Meet minimum monthly billable hour requirements.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in Massachusetts, member in good standing; admission in the Federal District Courts of Massachusetts preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of civil litigation/trial experience.
  • Experience in residential or commercial real estate, foreclosure, FDCPA, RESPA, and TILA claims preferred.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in Massachusetts.

Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite and case management software.
  • Strong courtroom appearance and trial experience.
  • Keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work as part of a team.
