Civil Trial Associate Attorney - Defense

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis for defense litigation cases.

• Draft legal briefs, motions, pleadings, and other necessary documents.

• Assist in the preparation of discovery requests, responses, and motions.

• Manage all aspects of the litigation process, including depositions, hearings, and court representation.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies.

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process.

• Conduct factual investigations, interview witnesses, and gather evidence to support defense strategies.

• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.

• Maintain accurate and organized case files, including electronic documents and correspondence.

• Adhere to ethical and professional standards in accordance with the legal profession's code of conduct.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.

• 3-5 years of experience in defense litigation, with a focus on insurance defense preferred.

• Strong knowledge of civil procedure and rules of evidence.

• Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Proven ability to independently handle a caseload and meet deadlines.
