Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Family Law Attorney in Allen, TX. This role involves managing family law and probate cases, providing exceptional legal advice, and representing clients in various legal settings. The attorney will work in a hybrid remote environment, contributing to a team dedicated to client success and professional growth.

Duties

  • Monitor staff compliance with firm procedures and information systems.
  • Manage family law and probate cases from start to finish.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and regular status updates to clients.
  • Deliver high-quality legal advice and representation in compliance with State Bar of Texas standards.
  • Ensure client confidentiality and case strategy coordination with attorneys, staff, and clients.
  • Prepare and review case documents, discovery, and court filings; manage depositions and hearings.
  • Organize evidence, prepare exhibits, and coordinate witness preparation for trials.
  • Draft, review, and approve legal correspondence, pleadings, and case materials.
  • Oversee billing accuracy, supervise legal staff, and provide training and guidance.
  • Communicate with agencies to ensure documentation and requirements are met.
  • Represent clients in court, mediations, and official meetings.
  • Maintain and update client files and case documentation electronically.
  • Strategize with the legal team on case goals and action plans.
  • Project case costs and manage client billing.
  • Foster a compassionate and professional client environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by managing attorneys.

  • Familiar with Clio a plus.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to type quickly and accurately.
  • Eligible for malpractice insurance.
  • Valid and active state-issued driver license.
  • Must be in good standing with the State Bar of Texas without disciplinary actions.
  • Expert attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher.
  • Juris Doctorate required.
