Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level technology transactions associate with 4-6 years of experience to join their practice in Denver/Boulder, New York, or San Francisco. This role involves working on innovative legal matters related to information technology, software, and data privacy across various industries and jurisdictions.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate technology agreements, including licensing, SaaS, and cloud services.
  • Manage and lead technology transactions from inception to closing.
  • Advise clients on issues related to emerging technology, data privacy, and compliance.
  • Support M&A and other corporate transactions as a technology specialist.
  • Collaborate with corporate, litigation, and regulatory teams.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in technology transactions.
  • Curiosity for emerging technology.
  • Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage complex transactions independently.
  • Strong understanding of legal issues in technology and sourcing transactions.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted contract analysis and drafting tools.
  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
