Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified and motivated associate to join its Tax practice group in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and experience in a law firm or similar environment, with excellent writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Duties

  • Conduct research and assessment of complex federal tax issues.
  • Advise on entity formation, deal structuring, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with team members to support the national practice.
  • Navigate complex subject matter effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of tax experience in a major accounting firm or law firm.
  • JD and active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.
  • Strong ambition, drive, and team orientation.

Education

  • LL.M. in Taxation preferred.

Certifications

  • Active bar admission required.
