Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with attorneys and clients, maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Manage business and assist in generating new business through both group and individual efforts.
  • Comply with the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and productively.
  • Show a keen interest in advancing a career in litigation and life sciences intellectual property.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Licensed to practice law in good standing in Utah.
  • Registered to practice before the USPTO.
  • 6+ years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD).
  • Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in a Life Sciences discipline is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Skills:

  • Expertise in immunology, genetics, molecular biology, and/or pharmaceuticals is highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple legal matters simultaneously with a strategic mindset.
  • Proven track record of producing quality legal work and managing billable hours effectively.
