Job Title: Senior Litigation Attorney (Remote)

Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to join its team on a remote basis, except for occasional court appearances and inspections. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in civil litigation defense, particularly in First Party Property cases. The Senior Attorney will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel, drafting legal documents, representing clients in court, and mentoring junior attorneys. The role demands a self-driven individual who is comfortable working remotely and managing cases independently. Fast and secure internet access is required for effective performance.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and representation for First Party Property cases, and potentially Trucking litigation.

• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs, with accuracy and clarity.

• Conduct in-depth legal research using tools like Westlaw to support case strategies.

• Represent clients in court and during negotiations, advocating for their interests effectively.

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and ensure clear communication throughout the legal process.

• Stay informed on current legal developments, changes in laws, and relevant regulations.

• Mentored and guided junior attorneys on complex legal matters and case strategies.

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Florida.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on First Party Property litigation.

• Trial experience, specifically as the first chair.

• Expertise in legal drafting and litigation with strong analytical abilities.

• Proficient in legal research, particularly using Westlaw or similar tools.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex legal concepts clearly.

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

• Experience working with Citizens is a plus.

• Bilingual skills are advantageous.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar license in Florida.

Skills:

• Expertise in First Party Property litigation.

• Proficient in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw).

• Strong litigation and trial skills.

• Ability to mentor junior attorneys and manage cases independently.

• Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal.

Job Location: Miami, FL (Remote with occasional travel for court appearances and inspections)
