Job Overview
A law firm seeks an associate for Commercial and Creditors' Rights Litigation in New York, NY. This role offers the opportunity to engage in complex commercial litigation and work closely with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

Duties

  • Draft pleadings, complaints, motions, and other litigation documents.
  • Appear in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts.
  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Negotiate settlements and manage active litigation matters.
  • Enforce commercial loans and equipment leases.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of law firm experience in commercial litigation and bankruptcy.
  • Experience with creditors' rights litigation and enforcement proceedings.
  • Admitted and in good standing in New York; New Jersey admission preferred.

Education

  • J.D. degree with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in New York.

Skills

  • Strong case management and writing skills.
  • Effective client communication abilities.
  • Experience with Uniform Commercial Code issues.
