Job Overview

A law firm seeks a 3rd-4th year Litigation Associate in New York City. This role is ideal for a confident, driven litigator with a keen interest in media law. The position involves significant responsibility, including direct client interaction and ownership of matters from the outset. The associate will engage with cutting-edge copyright, trademark, First Amendment, and newsgathering litigation, as well as commercial disputes.

Duties

• Support litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Participate in pre-publication legal issue identification and risk mitigation.
• Handle federal and state court proceedings and arbitrations.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and submissions.
• Manage discovery, including strategy, document review, and depositions.
• Participate in oral arguments and court appearances.
• Collaborate with partners and clients on case strategy.
• Manage multiple fast-moving matters.
