Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney in Beverly Hills, CA. The successful candidate will specialize in litigating personal injury cases with values ranging from the low six figures to multi-seven figures.

Duties

• Draft and prepare briefs, settlement offers, and trial motions.
• Take and defend depositions from witnesses, parties, and experts.
• Correspond with clients and opposing counsel.
• Interview clients to understand case details and develop strategies.
• Prepare cases for trial by gathering evidence and conducting investigations.
• Assist clients in preparing for mediation or settlement conferences.
• Educate clients about their legal rights and responsibilities.
• Prepare and file court documents such as complaints or motions.
• Represent clients in court proceedings.

Requirements

• Law degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• At least 2 years of experience in general liability or personal injury litigation.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a large and complex caseload.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Empathetic and emotionally intelligent.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• California State Bar License.

Skills

• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
