Job Overview

A respected personal injury law firm is seeking a Pre-Litigation Attorney to oversee plaintiff-side pre-litigation cases and manage the operations of its Tempe, Arizona office. This role offers the opportunity to lead legal and administrative staff while directly representing injured clients. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to build strong cases, negotiate favorable settlements, and drive results in a collaborative office environment.

Duties

  • Lead and manage the Tempe office and its legal/administrative staff

  • Conduct thorough client interviews and gather case-relevant information

  • Prepare and file legal documentation including complaints, motions, and correspondence

  • Negotiate settlements directly with insurance companies

  • Maintain ongoing, transparent communication with clients throughout the case process

  • Evaluate and build strong cases through legal research, analysis, and documentation

  • Promote a team-oriented and performance-focused office culture

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing or mentoring legal staff is preferred

  • Background in personal injury law, specifically pre-litigation, is strongly preferred

  • Ability to handle multiple active cases with a high level of organization and diligence

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to advocate effectively for clients

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Arizona or New Mexico (or eligible for admission in Arizona or New Mexico)

Skills

  • Excellent critical thinking, writing, and verbal communication abilities

  • Strong leadership and case management capabilities

  • Proven ability to work independently and within a collaborative team structure

  • High emotional intelligence and client service orientation

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
