Job Overview

A law firm seeks an entry-level Personal Injury Associate Attorney in Tampa, FL. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced attorneys, gaining hands-on experience in personal injury cases while managing a caseload under the supervision of senior attorneys.

Duties

  • Conduct consultations with prospective clients and serve as the principal contact between the firm and its clients.
  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from initiation through resolution.
  • Compile information, evidence, and documentation, including medical records and bills.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents for filing in courts.
  • Negotiate and settle assigned cases.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and address concerns.
  • Represent clients in mediation, depositions, and court hearings.
  • Oversee the work of the Case Manager, assigning case-related tasks.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 0-3 years of experience, with exposure to personal injury law preferred.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive approach to professional development.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English skills are a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
