Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Associate to join its team in Santa Monica, CA. The successful candidate will be a judicial clerk with a minimum of one year of experience, preferably in a federal court, and will have two to six years of prior law firm experience in intellectual property and/or patent litigation.

Duties

  • Engage in intellectual property litigation and patent disputes.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive legal documents.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop case strategies.
  • Represent clients in court and other legal proceedings.

Requirements

  • Current experience as a judicial clerk for at least one year.
  • Two to six years of prior law firm experience.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Membership to the State Bar of the office location is required.

Education

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.

Certifications

  • Admission to the State Bar of the office location.
