  • ERISA prohibited transactions and DOL/IRS interaction

…we want to speak with you.

Duties

  • Advise employers, plan sponsors, and fiduciaries on ERISA compliance and benefits regulations.

  • Counsel on equity plans, deferred compensation, 409A issues, and executive-level agreements.

  • Address fiduciary duties, prohibited transactions, and DOL/IRS audits or inquiries.

  • Support M&A transactions with benefits due diligence and integration work.

  • Analyze HIPAA, ACA, MEWA, COBRA, and related health-plan obligations.

  • Provide practical guidance to HR teams, executives, and in-house counsel.

Requirements

  • 1–10+ years of ERISA / employee benefits experience.

  • Strong knowledge of retirement, welfare, and executive compensation rules.

  • Excellent writing, drafting, and analytical skills.

  • Tax LL.M. or accounting background is a strong plus.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Strong regulatory analysis and problem-solving ability.

  • Precision in drafting and interpreting complex plan documents.

  • Clear communication with HR, executives, and corporate clients.

  • Ability to manage multiple matters with accuracy and organization.

  • Collaborative, client-focused working style.
