A law firm seeks a full-time Counsel - Client Engagement Terms in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves reviewing, revising, and negotiating client terms of engagement for both legal and non-legal matters, ensuring compliance and alignment with the firm's objectives.

Duties

  • Review and revise documents establishing client engagement terms.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts for document analysis.
  • Negotiate terms with clients as requested by legal counsel.
  • Document client terms using Intapp Terms.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies in client information.
  • Advise on legal risks and propose solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and firm policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by legal counsel.
  • Maintain regular attendance and in-person interaction at the worksite.

Requirements

  • JD degree and 3+ years of legal experience in a law firm.
  • Active bar license in good standing in the state of residence.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and legal risk assessment.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of professional conduct rules and risk management.
  • Experience with Intapp Terms preferred; Intapp Conflicts is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and priority-setting skills.
  • Ability to present information effectively in small groups.
  • Commitment to confidentiality.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Active bar license.
