Job Overview

A law firm seeks an eDiscovery Review Attorney in Reston, VA. This role involves supporting the discovery of electronically stored information in litigation. The attorney will manage document review workflows and teams of temporary contract attorneys, providing project management support to case teams.

Duties

  • Plan, conduct, and supervise strategic document review and production.
  • Provide guidance and legal support to case teams on document review processes.
  • Advise on best practices for ESI search and review in litigation and investigations.
  • Coordinate hiring and administration of temporary review attorneys.
  • Manage teams of temporary review attorneys, ensuring quality control.
  • Perform substantive document review using platforms like Relativity.
  • Conduct privilege review and assist with privilege log preparation.
  • Perform targeted searches for fact development and deposition preparation.
  • Collaborate with business professionals for quality control and workflow management.
  • Recommend strategies for cost-effective document review plans.
  • Stay current on eDiscovery law and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies to manage risk and costs.
  • Travel to other offices and client sites as necessary.
  • Bill time accurately and review entries before month-end closing.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and firm applications after orientation.
  • Ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
  • JD Degree.
  • 2+ years managing complex litigation document reviews and eDiscovery projects.
  • Active member in good standing of state bar where they reside.
  • Experience with relational document review databases like Relativity.
