Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A Scottsdale-based law firm is seeking a seasoned litigator with a strong command of civil litigation, including real estate, commercial, contract, and tort matters. The ideal professional will demonstrate self-direction, precision in legal writing, and a high level of client engagement. Experience in bankruptcy and prior clerkship with federal or appellate courts will be considered advantageous. The opportunity is well-suited for attorneys seeking to work on varied and challenging cases while mentoring junior associates in a collaborative legal environment.

Duties:

• Handle a diverse portfolio of civil litigation matters from inception to resolution

• Represent clients in contract disputes, tort claims, commercial litigation, and real estate matters

• Manage court appearances, depositions, discovery processes, and motion practice

• Oversee litigation strategy and case progression independently

• Collaborate with clients to understand goals and tailor litigation strategy accordingly

• Supervise and guide junior attorneys and litigation support staff

• Maintain high standards of communication, professionalism, and responsiveness

• Contribute to firm-wide business development through existing relationships and potential book of business

Requirements:

• Minimum 10-15 years of experience practicing in civil litigation

• Proven ability to independently manage complex litigation cases

• Prior experience with real estate, commercial disputes, tort, and contract law

• A book of portable business book is preferred.

• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities

• Commitment to client satisfaction and legal excellence

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active and good standing membership with the State Bar of Arizona

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and persuasive writing skills

• Effective oral advocacy and courtroom presence

• Strong organizational and case management abilities

• Strategic thinker with sharp analytical judgment

• Proficient in litigation software and electronic discovery platforms
