Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Transactional Regulatory Associate with 3 to 6 years of experience to join its growing energy team within the Corporate Practice Group. This role can be based in any of the firm's offices and offers remote and hybrid work arrangements.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate project contracts for energy sector clients.
  • Conduct due diligence for transactional and regulatory matters.
  • Prepare and support regulatory filings and compliance, primarily at the Federal level.
  • Advise on power purchase agreements and interconnection service agreements.
  • Assist with project finance and M&A transactions involving energy assets.

Requirements

  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in transactional and regulatory matters.
  • Excellent research, writing, analytical, and contract drafting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and client communication skills.
  • Prior experience in an Am Law 100 law firm preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in the jurisdiction of the resident office location.

Skills

  • Proficiency in handling Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issues and proceedings.
  • Ability to manage compliance with both Federal and occasional State regulations.
