Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified Private Credit Associate to join its Private Credit Department in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in private credit and finance matters, with a strong background in lending and various financing transactions.

Duties

  • Handle private credit and finance matters with expertise.
  • Engage in lending transactions, including borrower-side exposure.
  • Manage financing transactions such as cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.
  • Contribute to asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in private credit/finance at a recognized law firm or equivalent legal experience.
  • Demonstrated lending experience with borrower-side exposure preferred.
  • General experience with a variety of financing transactions.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of North Carolina or eligible for admission.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
