Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Associate for their New York City, NY office. The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of experience advising on equity plans, executive employment agreements, and compensation and benefits matters in M&A, carve-outs, IPOs, and other transactions. Strong academic credentials and an interest in a collaborative, national practice are essential.

Duties

  • Advise on equity plans and executive employment agreements.
  • Handle compensation and benefits matters in M&A, carve-outs, and IPOs.
  • Collaborate with partners across offices on complex transactions.
  • Support Corporate and Tax groups on cross-border transactions.

Requirements

  • 2-7 years of relevant experience, ideally in a large law firm.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Interest in a collaborative, national practice.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the state of New York.
