Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate to join the Global Transportation Finance team in Chicago, IL. This role offers the opportunity to engage in complex international and domestic transactions, focusing on financing, leasing, acquisition, and disposition of aviation, rail, maritime, and general equipment assets.

Duties

  • Collaborate with shareholders on business development and client-facing activities.
  • Participate in the financing, leasing, and acquisition of transportation assets.
  • Manage multiple transactional matters simultaneously.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts effectively.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of transactional experience at a law firm.
  • Experience in securitization, leveraged finance, or related fields.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiating skills.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple matters.
  • Admitted in or taking steps to become admitted in Illinois.

Education

  • J.D. degree or equivalent with strong academic credentials.
