Duties

• Represent clients in criminal defense proceedings, including hearings and appeals.

• Prepare and file legal documents, including motions and briefs.
• Collaborate with legal professionals and community organizations.
• Keep clients informed about their cases and legal strategies.
• Stay updated on changes in criminal law and case law.
• Conduct community outreach and education on criminal issues.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in Texas.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in criminal defense and post-conviction relief.
• Strong understanding of the criminal legal system.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in Texas.
