Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected litigation-focused law firm located in Denver, CO, is partnering with a recruiting agency to identify a driven and experienced Litigation Associate. This role presents a compelling opportunity for an attorney with 2-7 years of litigation experience—particularly in matters involving insurance coverage, personal injury, premises liability, construction defect disputes, and related areas. The position offers a high level of responsibility from early case analysis through trial and appeal, with ample opportunities for courtroom experience and client-facing work.

Duties:

  • Handle all stages of litigation from initial investigation to resolution

  • Manage discovery, depositions, and evidentiary procedures for both plaintiffs and defendants

  • Draft motions, legal memoranda, and pleadings in state and federal courts

  • Appear in court for hearings, motions, and other proceedings

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy

  • Collaborate with internal teams and outside experts to assess case viability and risk

  • Develop recommendations for clients and contribute to litigation strategy

  • Prepare comprehensive reports, including coverage evaluations and litigation summaries

  • Conduct Examinations Under Oath (EUOs), when applicable

Requirements:

  • 2-7 years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on insurance-related matters preferred

  • Familiarity with first- and third-party claims, coverage analysis, and bad-faith litigation

  • Experience with construction defect cases is highly desirable

  • Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Colorado (in good standing)

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and persuasive writing abilities

  • Strategic thinker with sound judgment and analytical prowess

  • Proficient in litigation tools and legal practice management software

  • Highly effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable with evolving priorities
