Job Overview:
A growing law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its team in Las Vegas, NV. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level attorney with 0 to 3 years of experience in insurance defense. The role primarily focuses on defending healthcare providers in medical malpractice litigation and Board matters. Ideal candidates will possess strong legal research and writing skills and an interest in litigation. This position offers the chance to work closely with experienced professionals and receive comprehensive training and mentorship in medical malpractice defense.

Location:

  • Las Vegas, Nevada

Duties:

  • Assist in the defense of healthcare providers in medical malpractice litigation and related Board matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Work with highly trained experts and professionals in defense of medical malpractice cases.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and development.
  • Participate in client meetings and assist in preparing case materials.
  • Develop expertise in medical malpractice law through hands-on training and mentorship.

Requirements:

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in insurance defense or related practice area.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work well in a professional, collaborative environment.
  • Interest in litigation and medical malpractice defense.
  • Nevada Bar license is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Nevada Bar.
