Duties:

  • Legal Counsel: Provide legal advice to clients regarding real estate transactions, construction contracts, disputes, and regulatory issues.
  • Contract Drafting & Review: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to real estate and construction projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Dispute Resolution: Represent clients in legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation, related to real estate and construction matters.
  • Research & Strategy: Conduct legal research to support case strategies and ensure clients’ interests are protected.
  • Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering practical legal solutions to meet their goals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other attorneys, staff, and external professionals to manage cases and provide high-quality service to clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • 2-5 years of experience in real estate and/or construction law.
    • Experience in contract negotiation and dispute resolution is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Attributes:
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to achieve results.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar where the firm operates (or eligibility to be admitted).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex legal concepts in real estate and construction matters.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
