Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join its insurance coverage litigation and products liability practice in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills and a proactive approach to legal challenges.

Duties

  • Take depositions, argue motions, and attend court hearings and mediations.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Analyze insurance policies and draft coverage opinions for clients.
  • Conduct complex legal research and draft memoranda.
  • Prepare status reports and recommendations for clients.
  • Review document collections in preparation for litigation.
  • Manage all aspects of litigation from initial pleadings through trial.

Requirements

  • Admitted to practice in Nevada; additional admissions are a plus.
  • Experience in discovery and law and motion.
  • State and federal court experience.
  • Excellent academic credentials and work history.
  • Reside in or willing to travel to Las Vegas as needed.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Nevada.
