A law firm seeks a New Markets Tax Credits Associate to join its Washington, DC office. This role involves working within the Community Development Finance practice, focusing on transactions involving tax credit financing and other community development programs.

Duties

  • Represent clients and lenders in commercial real estate finance transactions.
  • Engage in construction lending transactions.
  • Conduct title and survey reviews.
  • Draft loan documents.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of transactional experience with New Markets Tax Credits and/or Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits.
  • Strong fundamentals in commercial real estate finance.
  • Experience with title and survey review and loan document drafting preferred.
  • Motivated self-starter with strong academic credentials.
  • Superb judgment and communication skills.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service.
  • Ability to thrive in a demanding work environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
