Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its Real Property Litigation Practice Group. Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in real property litigation, including business and commercial litigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and commercial collection cases.
  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice to clients.
  • Handle settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Appear in court hearings, trials, and depositions.
  • Support appellate work, if applicable.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage and strategize cases effectively.
  • Maintain a strong client focus and provide high-quality legal service.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on real property and commercial law.
  • Experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy, and commercial collection is highly desirable.
  • Experience in appellate work is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Client-focused approach with a strong commitment to client service.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing a caseload effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar license in Florida, in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, particularly in real property and commercial law.
  • Legal research, writing, and case preparation skills.
  • Effective negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Ability to represent clients in court hearings and depositions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
