Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Estate Planning Attorney in California. The ideal candidate is experienced, empathetic, organized, and detail-oriented, ready to contribute positively to the firm's culture. The firm focuses on estate planning, trust administration, and probate, leveraging technology to provide exceptional client service.

Duties

  • Conduct initial consultations with clients.
  • Identify strategies to meet client objectives and recommend appropriate trusts.
  • Draft estate planning documents, including wills and trusts.
  • Explain complex legal concepts and estate plan provisions to clients.
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Consult with clients, accountants, and financial advisors as needed.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients to cultivate relationships.
  • Report on caseload at weekly case review meetings.
  • Develop a client following to increase firm revenues.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed with the California State Bar.
  • 3+ years of estate planning experience from inception to conclusion.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Working knowledge of finance, investments, and taxes.
  • Ability to focus under pressure and demonstrate discretion and integrity.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office Suite and case management software.
  • Experience with Wealth Counsel drafting is desired.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed with the California State Bar.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
