Job Overview

A law firm seeks a detail-oriented and driven pre-trial attorney to support its personal injury, immigration, and family law practice areas in Grand Prairie, Texas. This full-time position is ideal for an attorney who excels at legal writing, discovery, negotiation, and case development. While courtroom appearances may occasionally be required, the primary responsibilities are pre-trial in nature.

Duties

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct legal research and draft persuasive written work product.
  • Prepare and organize evidence, exhibits, and case files for hearings and trial.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel, when applicable.
  • Attend USCIS interviews with clients and ensure thorough preparation.
  • Handle immigration and family law matters through the pre-hearing phase.
  • Manage client communication and advise on case strategy.
  • Coordinate with experts, investigators, and litigation support professionals.
  • Maintain accurate case records, deadlines, and correspondence in case management systems.

Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • 1-5 years of experience in personal injury, immigration, or family law preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and client communication skills.
  • Experience with written discovery, motion practice, and settlement negotiations.
  • Prior experience attending USCIS interviews is a plus.
  • Bilingual in Vietnamese strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in person at the Grand Prairie office - remote work is not available.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
