Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Real Estate Attorney in Columbus, Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to represent developers and investors in various real estate projects, including ground-up developments and property conversions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.

Duties

  • Manage ground-up and rehabilitation development projects, including environmental assessments.
  • Draft and review Purchase Agreements, Asset Purchase Agreements, and easements.
  • Interpret complex Title Commitments.
  • Negotiate construction contracts, including AIA forms.
  • Review and interpret municipal ordinances.
  • Guide municipal projects from introduction to approval, including obtaining variances and permits.
  • Collaborate on applications for economic incentives.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 6+ years of experience in ground-up and rehabilitation development.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Bar admission in Ohio.
