The position involves managing a high-volume caseload, engaging in settlement negotiations, and drafting legal documents.

Duties

  • Manage an active caseload of consumer protection cases from intake to resolution.
  • Draft and file pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Negotiate settlements with defense counsel and corporate defendants.
  • Attend court appearances, mediations, and case conferences in state and federal court.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Collaborate with the litigation team and maintain accurate and timely records.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Illinois.
  • Minimum 2 years of consumer litigation experience on the plaintiff side.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, CROA, and TCPA.
  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills, with proven results.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Professional, dependable, and driven by a desire to achieve justice for consumers.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
