Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm based in Austin, TX, is seeking a driven Associate Attorney to support its legal team, with a strong focus on commercial litigation and construction-related matters. This position involves hands-on case management, legal research, drafting, and active participation in hearings and depositions. Ideal candidates will bring analytical precision, persuasive writing, and a collaborative mindset to a dynamic legal environment.

Duties:

  • Perform detailed legal research using platforms such as Westlaw to inform case strategy

  • Draft and analyze pleadings, motions, legal briefs, and contract-related documents

  • Assist in trial preparation by organizing evidence and building legal arguments

  • Provide legal guidance to clients on issues related to construction and commercial disputes

  • Participate in meetings with clients and senior attorneys to discuss case developments

  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements affecting client interests

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records and documentation

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Texas Bar

  • Demonstrated experience handling commercial litigation or construction law matters

  • Familiarity with court procedures and litigation workflows

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced setting

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Texas

Skills:

  • Proficiency with legal research tools, particularly Westlaw

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Capacity for critical thinking and legal analysis
