Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated associate with three to seven years of experience to join its Energy, Environmental, and Infrastructure practice in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate will manage complex energy and natural resources transactional work, including M&A, project development, and commercial agreements.

Duties

• Manage complex energy and natural resources transactional work.
• Handle renewable energy transactional work, including M&A and joint ventures.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements such as PPAs and O&M Agreements.
• Engage in procurement contracts for equipment and materials.
• Participate in financing transactions in the energy sector.

Requirements

• Experience in a sophisticated law firm environment.
• Experience with renewable energy transactional work.
• Experience with engineering, procurement, and construction contracts is advantageous.
• Experience in oil and gas is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong work ethic.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar.
