Job Overview

A well-established law firm specializing in elder law and probate is seeking an experienced Probate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience practicing in Massachusetts probate courts. This role involves handling estate and trust administration, guardianship, conservatorship matters, domestic relations cases, and probate litigation. Candidates with estate planning experience will be given preference.

Location

Duties

  • Represent clients in Massachusetts probate courts

  • Manage estate and trust administration cases

  • Handle guardianship and conservatorship matters

  • Conduct probate litigation and domestic relations cases

  • Provide legal counsel to clients on probate-related matters

  • Appear in court and advocate on behalf of clients

  • Independently manage a full caseload

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing in Massachusetts probate courts

  • Experience in domestic relations, estate administration, trusts, guardianship, and conservatorship cases

  • Probate litigation experience

  • Estate planning experience preferred but not required

  • Strong legal research and writing skills

  • Ability to manage cases independently and efficiently

  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Massachusetts

Skills
