Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Estate Planning Attorney in Gaithersburg, MD. This full-time, on-site position involves working with clients to assess their estate planning needs, recommending tailored solutions, and guiding them through the planning process. The role requires collaboration with paralegals and support staff to ensure an exceptional client experience.

Duties

  • Meet with prospective clients to recommend estate planning solutions such as Asset Protection Trusts and Wills.
  • Guide clients through the planning process, including document review and execution.
  • Collaborate with paralegals for timely and accurate document drafting.
  • Maintain accurate records and client communications using internal systems.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and training sessions.
  • Occasionally assist in team-building and professional development events.

Requirements

  • Law degree and license to practice in Maryland.
  • Ability to engage new clients in initial consultations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, OneNote, Teams, etc.).
  • Willingness to undergo a background check, assessment, and drug screening.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Maryland.
