Associate Attorney - Litigation and Collections

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Litigation and Collections to join their Boston, MA office. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic team handling commercial collections and creditor rights cases across Massachusetts and nationwide.

Duties

• Manage cases from pre-litigation strategy through trial and judgment enforcement.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and client correspondence.
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and motions.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel and pro se parties for favorable resolutions.
• Provide clear legal assessments and strategy recommendations to clients.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with firm and client protocols.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Massachusetts Bar; additional admissions a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of litigation experience preferred.
• Experience in commercial collections; evictions/foreclosures a plus.
• Excellent written/oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume docket and meet deadlines.
• Professionalism, initiative, and a results-oriented mindset.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Massachusetts Bar.
