Job Overview

Duties

  • Represent clients at USCIS and EOIR hearings.
  • Conduct initial consultations and maintain client databases.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, memos, and conduct legal research.
  • Manage client files and ensure meticulous record-keeping.
  • Engage in client communication and correspondence.
  • Perform various administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years' experience in immigration law.
  • Experience in family-based, removal defense, crimigration, asylum, or employment-based immigration.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly valued.
  • Experience with client management software is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited university.

Certifications

  • Barred in Alaska or willing to become barred in Alaska.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in typing and grammar/writing skills.
