Associate needed for Chicago office

Job Overview:
A respected law firm in Chicago is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its legal team. Location:

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and memoranda

• Manage case files and ensure timely progression of matters

• Participate in client consultations and provide legal advice

• Assist in court preparation and attend hearings and proceedings

• Support litigation efforts through discovery, investigation, and document review

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and execution

• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients’ interests

Requirements:

• Strong background in legal research, writing, and drafting

• Experience managing case files and supporting litigation efforts

• Skilled in client communication and professional negotiation

• Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment

• Prior experience in relevant areas of law (civil litigation, family, or general practice preferred)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar admission in the State of Illinois
