Los Angeles office of our client seeks an associate attorney ideally with at least 1 year of experience with labor and employment law. The candidate will educate clients on their rights, provide zealous advocacy, negotiate appropriate pre-litigation resolutions, and litigate when necessary. Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients on a variety of labor and employment issues. Conduct legal research and factual investigation to prepare legal documents and develop strategies. Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective client service. Educate clients about their rights and obligations under various labor and employment laws. Keep up-to-date with the latest legal and industry developments affecting labor and employment law. Draft compelling correspondence and legal documents. Should be a passionate plaintiff advocate for plaintiff-side labor and employment law. Experience with wrongful termination, discrimination, disability, and wage and hour matters is required. Should be familiar with the process of filing complaints with EEOC, CCRD, NLRB, and PAGA, as well as be familiar with their respective processes. Some experience with labor and employment claims is needed. Must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar.

The candidate should have a willingness to listen to potential clients and educate them on their labor and employment rights. Interest in practicing labor and employment law is essential. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills are required. The ability to explain the law in a fashion that clients and potential clients can understand, effectively manage a caseload, and drive a case from lead to litigation is a must. A strong desire to passionately advocate for clients is needed. Should ideally be passionate about advocating for and educating clients.
